Unique location in the heart of the jungle, stunning views of the falls, comfortable rooms, and a relaxing pool. The bar and restaurant staff take their time, so don't expect a quick meal. #ImInAHurry
The Wi-Fi is as elusive as the jungle creatures, the shower temperature is as unpredictable as the weather, and the air con fan deserves an award for its "clicking" performance. #NotImpressed

The rooms are spacious and well furnished with a terrace. Good beds.
I'm confused about the star rating - this is a 4-star hotel, but other than room size, the facilities weren't particularly 4-star quality. In 4-star, I expect a certain level of luxury and attention to detail. There was a dead fly on the bathroom floor when I arrived - it was still there when I left. It's all about expectation - the restaurant was very rustic. The food on offer limited. Other than a pool, massages, various organized walks and the arrangement of tours that were priced around 25% above what my remise driver offered, there were no other services/facilities. Very family oriented; quite a lot of young couples with babies/small children. Having said all of this, even though I would recommend to young families.

The feeling of living off the beaten track. The quiet and the stars. The fact there was an interesting experience to compliment the Iguazu Falls. You can catch a bus to the falls for 5 pesos a short walk from the Lodge. Beats taking a pricey tour.
We stayed at the Lodge for three days and were sorry to leave.

The staff at La Reserva Virgin Lodge were incredibly helpful and efficient, and they made sure every aspect of our stay was taken care of. The food at the hotel was delicious and we enjoyed every meal. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the surrounding attractions, including the breathtaking waterfalls and nearby towns. The cozy atmosphere of the hotel brought a nostalgic jungle experience from the 70s. I had a great time and would recommend this hotel to others.

This place is an ideal location if you want to be isolated from everything else. It is a very peaceful setting. Nothing else around to distract you. The room is very spacious. The bed was very very comfortable and the spa bath was a delight. This place is only 2 years old and it still has a new feel about it. The snacks on the menu also very reasonable. Umbrellas also provided and this was a plus as it rained quite a bit during my stay. I would recommend it highly if you want to unwind. I actually stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the luxury that it afforded
Wi fi internet kept cutting out possibly because of the area being so isolated and staff could have been a bit more pleasant.Lacking in the smiles department. Also a good 40 minutes walk into town and 20 minutes to the main highway so if you do not like walking this place is not for you.

The price was great if you compare with other hotels surround, it includes Wi-Fi even in the room, the breakfast was simple but very delicious, the bed was so big, the bathroom had good design...all stuff in the room was great.
We didn't find an explicative folder in our room telling about the hotel and its facilities, time and price of the activities, about the city and other turist spots. We also miss a all night service of food, it could be just simple itens to eat.

Surrounded by beautiful wilderness. Comfortable, clean rooms. Helpful front office staff. No phones in rooms, communication via WhatsApp. Reliable Wi-Fi. Overall enjoyable stay.

La Cantera is possibly the best Hotel I've ever been! The treatment that the staff gives to you is unbelieveable, they make all the efforts for you to feel pleased! The Room is just the best, well decorated and cozy. The location is the best, in the jungle but a few minutes from the city (actually you can walk 30 min and there you are, or by car). I will definetely be there again.
I cant say something bad. The stay was perfect. I had one day of overbooking and they explained everything to me. I needed to be transfered, but they sent me to a great hotel, just beside in the same conditions. Fair and honest.

Located in the heart of the jungle - an absolutely jaw-dropping setting! The rooms are excellent, ultra-comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Just a five-minute drive from the Brazil border, perfect for exploring the beautiful Iguazu Falls. The staff is beyond amazing, always there to help you with a smile - from the reception to the restaurant to the shuttle bus drivers. The beds are heavenly, and the on-site restaurant is super convenient. The hotel seamlessly blends into the rainforest, allowing you to enjoy its natural charm. The staff provides lightning-fast answers and support, ensuring you make the most out of your trips. Enjoying evenings by the pool with a delicious cocktail from the bar is an added bonus. The rooms are spacious and have mosquito-netted balconies, allowing you to fully soak in the fresh breeze and sounds of the forest. Don't miss the hotel's free walking and biking tours, led by a knowledgeable and fantastic guide. Breakfast offers a great variety of tasty options. The location is simply wonderful, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Perfect for families, the hotel made us feel welcome from the moment we set foot on the property. The overall experience was absolutely mind-blowing, with every aspect exceeding our expectations.

La Cantera was a big disappointment. The website leads you to believe that it's a bit of luxury in the jungle. It's really quote basic. The staff are very blasé and unhelpful. If you want a response to a problem you need to email as this goes to a guy in Buenos Aires who seems much more customer orientated and gets problems dealt with. The restaurant staff were very good and worked hard. The extras that can be pre booked are half board which I would recommend as the food is reasonable. The Green Passport can be bought in the National Park for less than the hotel charges. Taxis are also cheaper booked independently. The staff don't mention that buses are available to town and the national park. It's a pleasant 20 min walk to bus stop. Much cheaper and more enjoyable.
Downstairs rooms smell musty and are damp. Staff (with the exception of restaurant staff) are unhelpful. One guy on reception kept his headphones on whil dealing with an enquiry. Very slack!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - we were presented with fresh juice on arrival and given so much information about the area and help with our on-going journey too. The food in the hotel was lovely and we were even treated to a floor show of tango dancing during our meal - and danced with the dancers themselves at the end of the show! The room was extremely comfortable - we had the best night´s sleep in months of travelling! The bed was enormous and the even the sheets were high quality! This was by far the best Lodge we have stayed in around the world, for the extremely competitive price. Don´t miss it!
